CTE Teacher TRAC Program Holds Open House

Cerritos College CTE Teacher TRAC Program held a new student orientation and an open house Tuesday, September 16. The orientation was full house attended by more than 130 students.

The afternoon started with networking with pizzas and refreshments, followed by a welcome greeting by CTE Pathways Grant Project Manager Carina Huynh. After the greeting the college instructors introduced various areas of CTE Teacher TRAC Program including automotive, woodworking and welding.

Following that, professors from California State University, Los Angeles and California State University, Long Beach made presentations on obtaining teaching credentials. Superintendent of Southeast Regional Occupational Program gave the students an overview of CTE teaching career.

CTE Teacher TRAC is a grant-funded component of the Cerritos College Teacher Training Academy (Teacher TRAC) that provides services to future CTE educators in the areas of Automotive Technology, Welding and Woodworking. CTE Teacher TRAC is offering various opportunities for students to explore and prepare for the teaching profession.
